Thoughts from Sandie
Wow its already March, and our lovely Cynthia is now on her way to Australia for 5 weeks to see her family, I hope she has a fantastic time.
Spring is upon us and the days are getting longer, and soon they will be warmer, goodbye winter. Don’t forget the clocks go forward on 26th March and it’s Mother’s Day on Sunday 19th March.
The Easter Bunny has been busy and can’t wait to come on the 6th April.

Thoughts from Mike
I would just like to give a little background of the life that my wife Julie once enjoyed, as I travelled abroad with my work, we both enjoyed our time spent in Hong Kong and Cyprus.
During our time enjoying plenty of sunshine, we brought up our 3 children in ideal conditions, leisure time included many sporting activities, me with hours playing golf and Julie more vigorous sports, really enjoying her time water skiing playing tennis and horse riding.
Whilst in Hong Kong, once the children had started school Julie felt the need to find something to do and with a friend started a nursery group with about 12 pre-school youngsters, quite often comprising up to 4 different nationalities and of course different languages, this never fazed her and before too long most of the youngsters were able to converse in English.
Whilst in England I spent time working in Staffordshire and Gloucestershire where Julie worked for various companies in responsible positions which she found both demanding and rewarding.
On retirement we came back to live in Stone and have enjoyed many years with our family and now proud to have 4 generations living in our lovely town.
Our life was changed dramatically when Julie was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, with all the many problems accompanying this, but Julie has faced all problems as she has gone through life! I have found life very demanding but have been so pleased that Julie has found a place where she can both enjoy and forget, this of course is the Alzheimers Drop In Club, where she has made many friends. My thanks go out to all of the volunteers who work so hard to make life so enjoyable for all attending.
THURSDAY IS A FUN DAY, THE BEST DAY OF THE WEEK.
