Wow wow wow ...... so proud of all the volunteers at the club following us being nominated for the Stafford awards in the Wellbeing category ...... which we won!!

PI MacDonald from Ellenhall have donated an amazing £500 to the club (That's about enough funding to run the club for 1 month!). Thank you very much PI MacDonald.

Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas and New Year. All volunteers will be enjoying a 2 week well deserved break.

The volunteers and I look forward to seeing you all on Thursday 5th January 2023.

If you are a carer or know somebody who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's did you know?

1. Blue badge parking is available apply to Stafford County Council 0300 111 8000
2. 25% Deduction in council tax per household Apply local Authority
3. Personal independence payment for people are 16 or State pension age, it is a long form 33 pages. Phone 0800 121 4433 or 0800 917 2222
4. Local carers advice 01785 606675
5. Attendance allowance, above pension age, complex form but worth applying for, income and savings do not affect your claim and payments are tax free. £61.85 per week for constant supervision during the day and £92.40 for day and night, discount at various venues. For carers, grants and home improvements, i.e. widendoors and ramps, also heating systems. Help line 0800 731 0122 for form although not an expert. I am happy to advise on form filling.
