The issue
Research conducted shows that, in 2019, there were over 850,000 people with dementia in the UK (Alzheimer's Society, 2019). This represents 1 in every 14 of the population aged 65 years and over.
Our aim
We aim to provide an informal setting so that carers and people with Alzheimers / Dementia around Stone can make contact with others in the same situation.
Stone Alzheimers Drop In Club
This club has been running for 18 years. People with Alzheimers / Dementia and their carers are welcome for tea / coffee and biscuits, chat and social activities, such as entertainers, singing, cards, games, bingo and more. We charge no fee which we feel is important to ensure the wellbeing of the carers and the people with alzheimers. Do have a read of our newsletters.
If you would like to join our Thursday 'Drop In Club' from 10:00 to 12:00 at Christ Church Centre, Stone ST15 8ZB - please contact us. The group is run by volunteers and if you would be interested in volunteering or have a specific skill you would like to share with the group then also please contact us.
